Kids Fly Free!
Free Young Eagles flights for kids ages 8–17, flown by experienced EAA member pilots in aircraft that have been inspected and certified by the FAA.
The Young Eagles Program
A free first flight, for life
The Young Eagles program is sponsored by the Experimental Aircraft Association. It’s designed to expose young people, ages 8 through 17, to aviation by providing free rides in private aircraft flown by experienced EAA member pilots.
Throughout the year, individual EAA members give Young Eagle rides to kids they know. Many chapters — including ours — also hold Young Eagle Rallies, where kids come to get their first airplane ride and are matched up with a pilot.
EAA 393 Young Eagle flights take place in a wide variety of aircraft types and sizes. The itinerary of each flight can vary depending on the preferences of the individual pilot and child. Most flights carry one to three passengers and last 20 to 45 minutes. Most pilots even let the child steer the airplane, and parents are given the chance to meet their child’s pilot before the flight.

Register for a Young Eagles Rally
Chapter 393 Young Eagle flights are scheduled for the 3rd Saturday of April, May, June, August, and September. Registration for each date unlocks 1 month in advance at 9AM.
