Chapter Life

Community

Chapter 393 is as much about who you fly and build with as it is about the airplanes themselves. Monthly dinners, fly-out adventures, and a clubhouse that’s always got the coffee on.

Monthly Dinner Meetings

Good food, better company

Members gather monthly for dinner meetings at the chapter clubhouse — open to members and prospective members alike. It’s the easiest way to meet fellow builders and pilots, hear what’s happening around the field, and find out who’s headed where this weekend.

Bring a project update, a question for the technical counselors, or just an appetite. New faces are always welcome.

Fly-Out Group

Adventures across Northern California

Our Fly-Out Group consists of EAA members and general aviation pilots who want to participate in “fly-out” adventures throughout Northern California. Weather permitting, the group may depart KCCR together or meet at a destination for lunch, a hike, a museum visit, flight-safety discussions, and more. It’s a great way to improve your flying skills while spending time with people who understand the passion to soar.

Join us on our next adventure — email a short introduction of yourself and your aircraft to theWednesday group orSunday group to receive info on future fly-outs.

Member Spotlights

The people behind the chapter

We’re building out a rotating spotlight on the members who make Chapter 393 what it is — builders, instructors, volunteers, and lifelong aviation nerds. Here’s the kind of thing we have in mind:

Sample — not a real member

Format: Name, aircraft/role

A few sentences on their build, their flying, or how long they’ve been with the chapter — the kind of story that usually comes out over dinner.

Format: Name, aircraft/role

Spotlights could cover builders mid-project, newly-minted pilots, or long-time volunteers who keep Young Eagles rallies running.

Pull quotes, build photos, or a favorite fly-out story all fit nicely in this format.
